Dalton Gotham, from Buckner, MO. took first place at the Teens Crappie Fishing For Scholarships tournament on Truman Lake on September 7th. Fishing alone, Dalton won $2,500 in scholarship money for his future education weighing in 6.43 lbs. He was vertical jigging using LiveScope in 8 to 15 foot waters.
Second place went to the team of Kelsi Maynard, Sherwood High in Creighton, MO. and Pierce Levsen of Garden City, who weighed in 6.22 lbs. They each won $1,800.00 in scholarship money. They also were vertical jigging using LiveScope.
Third place was Baylae Anderson of Osceola High School, who weighed in 6.13 lbs. She won $1,300.00 for her future education. The angler was using a slip bobber and Livescope, stating they were targeting fish feeding on chad.
Fourth place was Grayson Wilson and Larry Plumb of Clinton High School with 5.78 lbs. Each angler won $1050 dollars. Lexi Thomas and Kalvin Pipes from Osceola High School took fifth with 5.60 lbs and won $800.00 each. Sixth place was Jeff Hollabaugh and Eddie Withers of Marshal High School with 5.30 lbs. earning them $400.00 each in scholarship money.
Next on the Teens Crappie Fishing For Scholarships tournament trail is October 12, 2019 on Lake D’Arbonne, Farmersville, LA.
